Opportunities Beneath Disappointments- My Story.

I’d been high up and dry few days ago, without so much of ‘enough’ hope. The faith i had in myself was fast ebbing, like the fall of a tide.
I had been in this state for some days, totally bereft of money and ‘what next’ to do. I was almost totally poor, when I’d always hoped that at this point in time, i will live like a king.

Was my thinking wrong? Was in the wrong place? I’d heard me asking myself this questions several times. Honestly, I’d already known the answers to these questions but at this state, i needed even a little re-assurance, so i could get up on my feet. Sadly, i never could get it from anyone.
I knew i must never give up totally but i really doubted the reality of holding on, right then.

In the midst of this disappointment, i prayed to God, i quoted those motivational scriptural verses (yeah, that’s what I’d always been taught) and i began to speak positive words to myself. These words kept changing my thinking and moods, the more i kept repeating them, until the disappointment I’d seen became replaced with hope.

I never got an immediate credit alert from my bank nor some miracle money but i remember, i began to see the opportunity that had been calling at me(which I’d never see, but for this crisis). Then, everything changed.

I may not really know how you feel or what’s been troubling you but i do know that you need to see beyond the ‘shit’ that’s happening around you, you must change what you see(your focus), so your life can turn around.

Never give up on your hope because you ain’t got the means to get there today. There is still something you can do to get started again.

Eighteen wise men in search of treasures, 18 casualties and victims are they.

Stampede, stampede! Killed in stampede. Stampede, stampede, is this a song?

They left home with books in their head and hope in the heart. Oh! Such apparition called hope.

Who bewitched them poor folks, wise fools? would a thousand search for a hundred naira?

One had a thousand dollar up there yet he loved the easy hundred cashed in months.

Treasures! They never knew their treasures were never far away. They were ever within.

It Pains To Be A Victim

Our world is filled with victimization.
Turn around and you’ll find them; victims of circumstances. They’re everywhere, victims of rape, birth, war, etc. Individuals, whose lives have been marred and scarred with one agonising experience or the other.

I’ve been one of them, hence i know how it feels.
I know how it feels when someone out there victimize you and you find yourself incapable of doing anything to defend you.
Such times when you put in your very best in that endeavour, only to be disappointed because you ain’t got no one at the top, such times when every one will nickname you (failure because you’re yet to get to where they have been), i have seen the mighty victimize and deceive the weak who cry their heart out everyday, for revenge yet getting none, they curse and hate.

But come to think of it, is personal revenge really worth it? Why not allow the law of nemesis?

I know, Living with the mindset of a victim is demoralizing. The hatred you constantly hold against those who victimized you is such that can stop you from ever forgetting the experience.

It is accepted you’ve been scarred,(sometimes for the rest of your life) but, must you forever nurse that wound? I think you need a break from thoughts of that horrible experience. You need to free your mind of these, and to free your mind, you must FORGIVE and let go this past.

Honestly, i know it’s not so easy taking this decision but, for your own good, i think you need do as i did. You must let go, so time can heal the wounds.

Look Beyond…

Hi there,
this is me, coming your way today!

I didn’t just come alone but as usual, i got a crunchy piece of inspiring thought just to get you going. Here it goes…

Don’t just get stucked looking at the pains you’re passing through, look beyond them. Your future is worth more than the present.
You need to know that one cannot understand the beauty of success until one overcomes the pains of trying.

Victor Winners!
